WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Graduating high school seniors that display a strong propensity toward leadership as demonstraded through academics, community involvement and/or extra-curricular activities, leadership activities, and positive character are invited to apply.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING:

You must be a graduating high school senior
You must have a 3.0 or greater GPA on the SC Uniform Grading Scale
You must score a 21 or greater on the ACT or a 1080 or greater on the SAT
You must be a legal resident of Beaufort County
You must present two letters of recommendation
You must complete the required leadership essay.

HOW AND WHEN TO APPLY:

Electronic notifications will be sent to students affirming or denying eligibility. Finalists will be notified by December 2nd to schedule interviews. 2024 - 2025 LEADERSHIP GRANT APPLICATION - NOW OPEN

The Foundation for Leadership Education is committed to supporting local educational institutions who practice leadership development programming by awarding an annual Leadership Grant. These grants are distributed to schools and community programs in Beaufort County who demonstrate a commitment to specific programs, techniques, and/or curriculum that have the potential to sustain the development and practice of leadership skills. Applications for the 2024 - 2025 school year are now open, deadline is November 15th.
