iLead Program Partnership

community partnership spotlight

The Foundation for Leadership is proudly partnering with Bridges Preparatory School to continue their implementation of the iLead leadership development program in grades 9th - 12th grade (formerly Habitudes) and introduce the iLead program to their 6th - 8th grade middle school students for the upcoming 2026 - 2027 school year.

Bridges Prep piloted the Habitudes program in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Education during the 2025-2026 school year in grades 9th - 12th and had an excellent response. High School Assistant Principal, Ashley Reid, is serving as the Habitudes facilitator and has found innovative ways to incorporate the program’s 16 Core Values into their high school curriculum including monthly “Habitudes Celebrations” where students were recognized for putting those values into motion.

Now that the SCDE pilot year has concluded, the Foundation for Leadership Education is partnering with Bridges Prep to sponsor the iLead program for the 2026 - 2027 school year and is expanding the leadership development program to include 6th - 8th grade middle school students as well. FLE is thrilled to reach over 1,000 students with this student-driven curriculum which fosters real-world leadership and life skills through meaningful conversations and peer-led growth.

The Foundation for Leadership Education is proudly partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry to implement the Maxwell Foundation’s iLead KIDS youth development curriculum to over 350 students in Kindergarten through 5th grade in four local elementary schools in Beaufort. The Boys & Girls Club will pilot the iLead program during their summer sessions beginning in June and will continue this impactful leadership curriculum into the 2026 - 2027 school year. This student led, leadership development programming aligns with FLE’s mission to provide a foundation in values and skills from which students are empowered to lead themselves and others in a way that creates positive change. We are thrilled to bring this meaningful leadership program to the many students served through the Boys and Girls Club of the Lowcountry and greatly appreciate their partnership. A very special thank you to our sponsors whose donations are making this work possible. We greatly appreciate your support!

FLE is partnering with Growing Leaders powered by Maxwell Leadership Foundation and the South Carolina Department of Education to support and expand this iLead curriculum within additional schools and organizations in Beaufort County. Please contact Penny Abbott, contact@lowcountyleaders.com for additional information on potential educational partnerships or financial support to bring the iLead program to local schools and community organizations.
